Welcome To The World, Samuel!

In my last post, I mentioned that we were headed out to the hospital to bring our new baby into the world. Samuel James Cannon was born on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 1:20 a.m. He weighs 7 lbs., 4 oz. and is 18.5" long. He has his father's (Wilson) chin, although it is not as pronounced as Vivian's was at birth, and his father's toes! He also has a lot of dark hair. He is absolutely precious in every way, and we are so blessed that Heavenly Father has allowed us to be his parents.

Vivian, who stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Cannon while we were in the hospital, got to come meet him on Saturday morning, and was absolutely desperate with love for him - she wanted to hold him and touch him and kiss him, but in all the excitement, we had to work on being gentle with him!

Now that we're at home, she still wants to love and kiss him, but she has been much better about being gentle with him. The funniest part is that every time she sees him, she points and cries out, "Baby!" like she can't believe he's actually ours! (Sometimes I feel the same way!)
